REAL TIME MENUΒΆ
Used to interact with ArcMap in Real-Time mode. Coordinates are sent directly from the GPS to ArcMap (if ArcMap 10.x is open) and can be recorded to a file. Data is also recorded in the Data Table.
Colorado, NUVI, Oregon, and other models with a mass storage mode - These units have a different communication protocol with the computer and, therefore, have a bit different technique for using Real-Time. To connect to the GPS to do real-time tracking you’ll need to install the Garmin Spanner software found at http://www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=1627
